Labelling requirements
Question
I have a question regarding the labelling requirements in your country and would appreciate your assistance or guidance on this matter.
Our company is based in the UK and manufactures a non-food product, specifically a menstrual cup. This product is unclassified and falls under the General Product Safety Directive in the EU. Currently, our product is manufactured in the UK. However, as part of our Brexit planning, we have established a branch in the Netherlands. After the end of the transition period, this branch will import our products from our UK company, and we will distribute them to our EU customers from this branch. In fact, we have already been supplying our EU customers in this manner for several months.
Our query relates to the product labelling requirements. We would like to know if it is necessary for us to include the address of our branch in the Netherlands on our product packaging, or if our UK address will be sufficient.
Answer
In response to your enquiry we recommend you to address directly the Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance Section at the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, which is responsible for General Product Safety Directive.
